Hello, Michel, Let’s talk about your new single, ‘Back On My Feet’, what is the meaning?
Basically about the difficult time most people have had because of the pandemic. Finally being able to go out again to clubs, concerts and theatre again.
Which artists in the current industry inspire you the most?
Freemasons, Daft Punk, Mark Ronson, Diplo, Sia
What is the best thing about being a musician in 2022?
Being able to connect with artists all over the world and record with them in their own studio, sending material back and forth.
Is there a certain place you often go to write? E.g a certain room, or environment?
Mainly I write behind a keyboard in my studio, where it’s quiet, right in the middle of Amsterdam and where I can record ideas straight away.
What is your first memory of music?
That would be in the dance studio of my aunt, who taught modern dance.
